What is Ryu's dad's real name?!

In the classic NG his dad's name is Ken, but in The DOA series his dad's name is Joe. What the hell is his real name? Does he have 2 dads? Or is his dad a schitzo with 2 names? Sum1 tell me the truth. I can't sleep at night.

Joe can just something used as a name for somone nameless.

Now tell me -- Do you really believe Itagaki would name Ryu's father "Joe"?

Of course, the Ryu/Ken relationship in SF only makes it funnier...

Truth!

However, ninja gaiden was created prior to SF.

Therefore, teh SF stole it, not teh gaiden.

there's no way to know for sure, maybe we'll find out in ninja gaiden 2. Remember, ryu was lended the dragon sword while his father continued his training, Plus..the "he never seems satisfied wit the power he wields" might probably lead to something in NG2

Nah I think it's Ken cuz thats what he's called in the classic NG, and NG was way before DOA.

Ryu's dad in the NES version of the game doesn't matter. Ninja on xbox is the series starting over and it never stated that his dad was dead. As far as we know he can be a fiend now! XD

Btw, I think his name is Ken. In Japanese Ken means blade. So that would make more sense.

If his name turns out to be Joe in NG2 I'm gonna kick the game up in the air and hit it with a sword like what Ryu did to the Dark Dragon Blade.
