Just thought I would take a moment to bitch about how little data we are allowed for our signatures and avis now. I don't have enough room for an avitar unless my signature is the size of a stamp on my screen. What gives?

OK, I just need more grease for my dry scalp. No biggie.
But on topic, Taiden's got a point. Even this fan-based site called www.deadoralivextreme2.net (which to some is the new Neotaku) looks good without sig/avi size limits.
Shoot, I'm thinking of getting some folks down here to share some ideas. If the old fanfiction staff is dying (including Punishere), we'll need some new material.

I think first thing first, DOAC should shrink or remove all your very own forum banner first, they are just too huge and always is the slowest to load image at least on my PC.

All the images load as fast as your computer can get them. Coming from different locations, you might not get images from DOAC's server as quickly as you do from Photobucket or wherever else people host their sigs. Since they are all coming from different geographical locations it could be that DOAC is the farthest from you, or (gasp. . .) not preferred by your isp.
You probably have a slower connection than you realize if you are experiencing noticeable lag. Increasing the allowed image sizes and dimensions will only bring that into more clarity for you or anyone else complaining about not being able to visit a forum where the only thing posted is the signatures of the people who can't help but tag everything with pixels in the internet. . .

I approve of this site improvment discussion. Post your ideas and comments so the Admins can see them. Even the grandmaster himself is checking the site since DID is almost at hand.

The forum still links to the old home page. If you stay on it it should redirect you to the new page. We have to update all links. Bookmark the new page.
The forum is a different app which we'll address updating later, not now though. Admins and web editors need to add content to the new layout which should be a process.
