Moved to the proper board.
This certainly is a concern for the DOAC Online Tournies.
Anyone up for playing some DOA1U/2U tonight?
Likewise, can anyone screen the DOA1U leaderboards for me, kinda would like to remember my #3 placement. . . sentimental reasons.
On a comment about MN, this change is probably to lift the friend list limit, as the original Xbox was the reason for that. |

Guess I spent a total of about €15 on DoAU and DoA3 for nothing -_-
But that's a shame though. I think this will make some people really pissed. What about people who bought XBL originals from the marketplace? Should get their money/microsoft points back =P

Well, I thought of DOA:U and Halo 2. Then I saw someone on Kotaku mention Phantom Dust. I never actually got to play that one. . . Sad really.
This might be a prelude to more than 100 friends on XBL, though. . .

Just making sure . . . so we can still play OFFLINE but the ONLINE servers for these won't work anymore? Which still sucks but I just don't want my OG Xbox games to become coasters . . .

What are you guys thinking? That Microsoft for some reason would brick every Xbox in the world just so they could improve functionality with Xbox LIVE? I mean besides the legal ramifications, maybe I'm just misunderstanding you.
I just don't see how you can confuse this into thinking that you would not be able to play your games on the Xbox. |

Well simply put, it's not like they have been updating the emulation on ANY of the old games that have problems (SF Anni, SNK titles, etc) or made any more games B/C since whenever.
So for them to say they aren't supporting the OG games anymore would give me in particular that impression. Not to mention before how the b/c updates were like temporary files that needed to be updated *cough* re-installed if you disconnected from Xbox live or hadn't played X game in a long time.

This is merely affecting games once you boot an OXG and attempt to access its Xbox LIVE features.
